St Joseph’s is a 46 bed nursing and dementia home. St. Joseph’s Home Warrenpoint is situated at the mouth of Carlingford Lough along the promenade in one of the most beautiful settings in Ireland.
We facilitate up to 46 elderly patients including people with physical and learning disabilities in private and semi-private rooms. At Joseph’s we care for, help and support our residents while preserving their dignity and enabling them to live their twilight years in maximum comfort and happiness.
We place great emphasis on the delivery of high quality care to our patients. We aim to provide individualised care that meets the holistic changing needs of each patient. There are qualified nurses and NVQ trained care staff on duty 24 hours a day. In order to deliver this excellent care, client review meetings are held after the first 8 weeks of admission and then yearly, or more frequently if required. This provides a formal opportunity for the client, the family, Social Services and the Home to meet and review the care package.
The Spiritual needs of all denominations are accommodated. There is a Chapel that provides a Sacred space for quiet reflection. An activity programme for the residents is provided by staff. A fully equipped sensory room is available to encourage relaxation.
At St. Joseph's, we prioritize the comfort and convenience of our residents by ensuring top-notch logistics, layout, equipment, and services. We offer private and semi-private rooms, many with ensuite facilities. Our laundry service is free, requiring labeled machine-washable items. We strive to provide personalized care, valuing feedback from clients and caregivers. With 24-hour staffing, each client is assigned a dedicated "named nurse" to oversee their care package.
St Joseph’s aims to provide a high standard of care to meet individual needs. Clients and carers comments are always encouraged and welcomed.
There is a laundry service available within the home. This is free of charge; however clients clothing must be labelled and the laundry can only facilitate machine washable items.
The home is staffed 24hrs per day. All clients will have a ‘named nurse’ who will be allocated on admission and this person will be the clients and families designated person to implement, review and evaluate the care package. All staff wear a uniform & name badge and each group of staff have specific coloured uniform to allow easy identification.
The Spiritual needs of all denominations are accommodated. There is a Chapel that provides a Sacred space for quiet reflection.
The home is registered with the Southern and Western Health and Social Care Trust. We are also regulated by the Regulatory, Quality and Improvement Authority (RQIA) and regular inspections are carried out. Referrals to the home can be made through Social Services or privately.
