St. Joseph's Day Care Centre is located on the seafront in Warrenpoint, Co. Down. It offers a warm and homely environment to the people of the South Co. Down area.
We provide high-quality care six days per week. Our trained staff offer support, care and supervision in a safe and warm environment. Our aim is to provide care that meets our resident’s cultural, spiritual, social, and physical needs.

Our team in St. Joseph's are ready to speak to you about our flexible day care. Our service operates between 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday. During this period care can be arranged and tailored to suit individual needs.

We provide nutritionally balanced and great-tasting home-cooked food to everyone in our care. Our Kitchen facilities comply with all current Environmental Health legislation in the UK & Northern Ireland. Our kitchen achieved the highest possible score as part of the “score on the door” system.
Reminiscence therapy: The museum in Newry occasionally provides props for display for the residents.
Therapy Pets: On some occasions, we have had visits from therapy pets such as dogs and even lambs.
Dementia Cafe: Is held in the Whistledown Hotel, Warrenpoint, with some of our residents from St Joseph's attending.
Church services are provided regularly.
Chiropody: Private chiropody can be arranged on site.
Hairdresser on site each week for residents to avail of.
We encourage our residents to actively engage in our daily activities schedule listed below. We believe participation enhances the resident’s mental, social, and physical well-being.
When my sister was discharged from hospital it became apparent that her dementia had progressed to the extent that she was unable to live without full-time medical support and personal care. Our family were delighted when she became a resident in St Joseph’s Care Home in Warrenpoint. The staff are excellent and she feels so at home with them. It is a beautiful place with excellent facilities. I am pleased to say that when I take my sister out for any reason, she is always delighted to return to the place that she now regards as her home

I have worked at St Joseph’s Nursing Home for four years as a care assistant. My job is very rewarding and I feel I am making a difference to our residents. St Joseph’s is located in a beautiful building on the coast of Carlingford Lough with great scenery and it has a warm homely feel which is very comforting for our residents.The staff here I can safely say are some of the most pleasant and caring people I have met and will always do their best to assist and cater to all our resident’s needs.
